Parent Workshops

During the coronavirus pandemic, we will be running all of our workshops online so that you can join us from the comfort and safety of your own home. We will send out a link in advance to a Google Meet live stream, which you can watch either through your web browser on a computer or through the app on your mobile device. To enable you to participate and ask questions, we will share an email address at the start of the session. You can then send in your questions during the talk and at the end we will cover as many questions as the remaining time allows.

All of our workshops are open to everyone and we welcome you to join us regardless of whether you have a child at our school. We hope to support our community in East Oxford and further afield as much as we can. There is absolutely no cost to participation as this is a free event provided by our staff.

How to Support Your Child in Maths

With Laura Gatford

The language of mathematics is international. The basic skills of mathematics are vital for the life opportunities of our children. Our aim is for all children to think mathematically, enabling them to reason, solve problems and assess risk in a range of contexts. Children can experience a sense of awe and wonder as they solve a problem for the first time, discover different solutions and make links between different areas of mathematics. Therefore, we are putting on an early mathematics workshop for parents to find out and explore with us the best way to support children before they enter reception.
