We are a two form entry school, with each year group having a maximum of 60 children split between two classes.

Applications for Reception Places for September 2019
Tyndale Community School has 60 places for children in Reception classes each September for children who turn 5 during the subsequent academic year. For places starting in September 2020, applications open in October 2019 for children born between 1/9/15 and 31/8/16 (inclusive). The deadline for receipt of applications is 15th January 2019. It is important that you make an application by this deadline, but applications are not determined on a first come first served basis.
We are part of the Oxfordshire Local Authority’s co-ordinated admission arrangements and applications for places should be made on the Local Authority Common Application Form, either on line or on paper. The Local Authority website contains details of how to apply.

If you have a child who will start school in later years we would love to keep you informed of future events such as open days and family fun mornings. We will be running Open Events in the Autumn Term 2019 for children starting Reception in September 2020, they will be on the following dates: Tues 15 Oct 2019 at 1:30pm, Tues 5 Nov 2019 at 10:30am and Tues 26 Nov at 1:30pm.

Up to 30% of places may be allocated on the basis of the Christian faith. If you wish to apply for a faith-based place there are two supplementary forms to fill in and return to the school. The first (Form A) must be filled in by you, and the second (Form B) must be filled in by your church leader. Please note that if you wish to apply for a faith-based place these forms are required in addition to applying for a place via the Oxfordshire Local Authority’s co-ordinated admission arrangements as detailed above. - Tuesday 16 April- First round allocation day (for on-time applications received by 15 January 2019)
- Wednesday 15 May- Deadline for submitting primary (first round) appeals
- Monday 10 June-Monday 15 July- First round of primary appeals heard
- Tuesday 11 June- Second round allocation day (for applications received 16 January -21 March 2017)
- Tuesday 11 July- Deadline for submitting primary (second round) appeals
- Monday 2 September – Monday 14 October- Second round of primary appeals heard
- All other appeals- Heard within 30 school days of being lodged (school days do not include weekends; INSET days; holidays.)
In Year Transfers
We occasionally have places in the school for in-year admissions and will happily discuss this with you. As an Academy, we are able to process our own school admissions, (apart from Reception September admissions which are centrally allocated through Oxfordshire County Council).
