Volunteering

Why volunteer?

Research shows that when parents and carers are actively involved in children's learning and show a real interest in what is happening at school, children progress more quickly. At Tyndale Community School we aim to foster this important home-school partnership from an early age. We value the skills and expertise of our volunteers and their commitment and support in raising standards for the pupils at Tyndale Community School.

How can I volunteer?

Throughout the school year, your child’s teacher will request your help for trips and other activities. During the year we ensure that there are many opportunities for you to work alongside your child in our curriculum workshops, on trips, at off-timetable activities and other special events.

We have also have a volunteer scheme for parents and carers who are able to dedicate regular time to support children in school. Regular volunteers will work with children in different classes than their own children and must have a DBS check. Please email hr@tyndalecommunityschool.co.uk for the application form.

We also recommend you review the policies page to access and read all safeguarding-related policies which will be integral to your role as a volunteer at Tyndale Community School.
