We have been learning all about Skeletons in Science.Who has more bones, a baby or an adult? Why do they? If you aren’t sure, don’t Google it, just ask your child! Using our values of Responsibility and Creativity, Year 4 have begun the fun but challenging job of sewing gloves for Homeless people in Oxford. The children are showing real perseverance. As shown in Celebration Assembly last Friday the quality of the survival posters the children have created this week is excellent. A week on Thursday (19th @ 6pm) will be your chance to come and see the work at the Tyndale Exhibition of Learning. Working closely with our Secondary school partners has resulted in the wonderful opportunity to go to Oxford Academy for PE lessons. Their facilities and secondary staff are wonderful and super opportunity for the children to see a secondary school environment.
Last week’s star learners were Uma and Aurel. They were both rightly proud and deserving of their iinvite into Narnia! Well done guys – keep up the amazing effort, manners and work.
This week – School Photographs Tuesday 10th October.
This week – Parents’ Evening – Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October.
Exhibition of Learning – October 19th at 6PM.
Help The Homeless Oxford
Thank you to the families that have sent in shoe boxes to support the homeless project.
Our project is looking at, ‘What does it take to survive the winter in Oxford if you are homeless?’.
It is not too late to send in your shoe box for your child to use. Please can you send it in to school this week. In addition if you have anything that you would like to add to one of the packs to go along with what the children will be making at school then we would really appreciate your support.
We look forward to seeing you this week at Parents’ Evening.
